ABOUT WINLAB 2007
10 December, 2007 - 5 January, 2008
The Winter Laboratory (Winlab) is a two to three week festival centered around week long intensive workshops with leading international artists, supplemented by drop-in activities and associated evening events for a wider audience.
The workshops offer the opportunity to share the practices of international guest artists and for participants to engage and interact with each other within this framework.
Given the stature of these artists/teachers, and the timing during the holiday period, this is an opportunity particularly suited to working professionals.
This year's workshop leaders are:
10-14th December 2007 Susan Schell
17-21st December 2007 RoseAnne Spradlin
5-8th January 2008 Giovanni Felicioni
Associated events include morning warm-ups in different bodywork techniques, evening improvisation classes, discussions, lecture demonstrations and performances. These enable a greater number of artists to take part at a less intensive level and for non-artists to gain insight into artistic process.
