Join us in the Roof Studio at Siobhan Davies Studios for a sharing and witnessing of ideas, works and thoughts in progress. This session invites you to informally share and witness works and ideas in progress — ‘fragments’ of whatever you are currently busy with — amongst generous and supportive company.
There are 5 x 10-minute sharing slots on offer and all live formats are welcome. This may look like improvisation, sharing a fragment or a seed of a new idea, something you’ve been thinking through recently or maybe you’d like to revisit a snippet of an old work. All fragments are welcome.
Facilitated by the Independent Dance team, these sharings will be held by a gentle structure of sharing, witnessing, reflecting and gathering. Those sharing are invited to share a question or prompt that they would like witnesses to bear in mind. After each sharing, there will be a moment to reflect and gather thoughts. At the end of the session, there will be space to chat about the experience of both sharing and witnessing, and to discuss any responses to the prompt questions.
If you would like to share, please express your interest here by 14 October. Sharing slots will be allocated randomly via a lottery. Please note that as these sharings are informal, this session will best suit work with minimal set-up time. We aren’t able to offer tech support, though you are welcome to use the sound system.
