Gill Clarke : 10 Years On

Gill Clarke

This special event marks 10 years since pioneering artist and ID co-director Gill Clarke passed away. We invite all who would like to connect through and with Gill’s work and values to gather – to honour Gill and also to think about how her work relates to now and our curiosities and desires for the future.

An informal gathering, the day will include time to talk, dance, read, watch, walk, eat and drink together. Following suggestions from several of Gill’s close associates and friends, we are delighted to share screenings of work by Gill and/or featuring her as a dancer, including collaborations with Marina Collard, Siobhan Davies, Becky Edmunds and Rosemary Lee, with further works to be confirmed. A movement score will be led by Andrea Buckley and Fiona Millward, and a long table conversation about how we connect to Gill’s values now and in the future will be chaired by ‘Funmi Adewole. Refreshments will be provided.

This is an open invitation to both those who knew and loved Gill and to those who didn’t know her work who would like to engage now. We look forward to welcoming you all.

This event is free. We are welcoming donations, all of which will go towards supporting ID’s future programme, if you would like to contribute here.

Note from ID : In the interests of safety, we are encouraging everyone to take a Covid-19 lateral flow test before attending.
