Join us, online or in person, for the public launch of a special issue of the international Theatre, Dance and Performance Training Journal (TDPT) edited by Independent Dance, Gitta Wigro and Sara Reed.
As well as celebrating the work of all involved in bringing this issue to publication, the evening will explore wide questions around the relationship between writing and dancing, the value which is placed on the written word, the formation of canon and culture, and questions of how writing about dance can be supported, and accessed.
Two of the artists who have contributed to the journal, ‘Funmi Adewole and Carolyn Roy, will offer short reflections and performative interventions, introduced by the editorial team. The artist collective Chatting Tanum join us to weave a performative thread through the evening.
The editorial team is Heni Hale, Nikki Tomlinson, Gitta Wigro, Sara Reed and overall co-editor of TDPT, Libby Worth.
