Monday Night Improv : Amarnah Ufuoma Cleopatra

Amarnah, a black woman with dreadlocks, is leading back to back with Mitch, a very tall white man with long hair and shaved sides where, if you zoom in, you can see a tattoo on his head and right ear. They are sharing their body weight confidently and comfortably. Amarnah has a big smile on her face but Mitch is looking away from the camera so you cannot see his face.

Amarnah Ufuoma Cleopatra’s improvisation class will share and explore her voice and movement practice, including some elements of contact improvisation.

As with all Monday Night Improvisation classes, this class is open to all and no previous experience of dance or improvisation is needed.

The class will start first from the ‘I’, the breath, grounding and self-exploration.  Travelling into duets, to see and be seen, and to be in relationship to each other. Eventually it will move into exploring how simple contact can deepen experience of the breath, voice, words and sounding.

Cancellations & refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidized by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
