In this class Jay will blend elements of clowning, voice and live composition to create dances, stories and games. Jay believes in trying to form a shared consciousness within a class environment, with everyone moving as one organism or within one community. We come to the room with different experiences but can co-exist together in one ecosystem.
Cancellations and refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
Jay Yule (they/them) works as a dance performer, clown and maker. They work regularly with artists Jo Fong, Marisa Carnesky, J Neve Harrington, Sarah Blanc and Eli Lewis in a variety of venues from the Royal Opera House main stage to the sticky floors of the East London queer club circuit. Their practice is existential in nature and draws from the experience of being queer and non-binary. Jay tries to foster an inclusivity into the way they create, making art which can be viewed by anyone with the hope of imparting a sense of activism from watching.
