The warm up will be based on Feldenkrais Method; a practice supporting and deepening mind/body intelligence. By slowing down, finding ease, listening to degrees of effort, quality of weight distribution, and tuning into layers of sensation the nervous system creates new neural patterns. This allows for a fresh state of readiness where movement choices can widen with minimal effort. A state of inner ease and simplicity also facilities the possibility of a wider sense of (inter)connectedness with self, the environment and others, as well as the room for truer spontaneity, and play. We will work solo, with partners and in groups.
Cancellations & refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidized by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep adminmanageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
Jenny Hill is a Feldenkrais practitioner based in London working with a range of individuals and groups. Much of her current work involves helping people increase awareness of themselves to relieve injuries, live pain free, and gain a greater (freer) sense of themselves as potent and creative movers. A recent example is a collaboration with the Royal Opera House running workshops for mental health clients exploring breath, movement and sound to create a group sound fabric. Jenny is also a trained dancer with an ongoing improvisation practice spanning 30 years. It’s an ongoing enquiry into where the movement takes her.
