This class will focus on deepening our connection to and interpretation of movement and music.
We will be paying special attention to the connection and correlation to different music genres. What is musicality and how to tap into it, and finding the groove and essence of the music, whilst creating the space to express freely. Jevan will use elements of his experience in Contemporary dance, House and Hip Hop dance to access and integrate the practice. We will be exploring different exercises to help explore, with the intention of taking a journey into realm of freestyle, with some personal discovery, using a partner as a mirror and group work.
Most of all, come with an open and curious mindset, and be willing to step into a supportive yet engaging process of movement.
Cancellations and refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked
