In this Monday Night Improvisation session, Kimberley will offer a series of movement explorations and tasks from her contemporary dance background to explore different articulations, ‘movement conversations’ and different qualities of movement. These provocations will be offered through descriptive language and imagery, to offer a variety of access points. Within the session, you will have the opportunity to play, experiment and find joy in your own physicality alongside the variety of ways that you can dance alongside and with others.
Kimberley’s practice embraces improvisation and integrates influences from her encounters with release-based work, experiential anatomy and somatic work.
The session invites individuals to come to the space as the dancers they are and to explore the choices they want to make as part of the improvisation space everyone will share.
Cancellations and refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.

Kimberley has performed in a variety of settings for stage, outdoor festivals and site-specific pieces in both contemporary dance and physical theatre.
Kimberley has had an association with Candoco Dance Company for over 20 years. This has included as an Associate Artist and most recently she was the Director of Artist Development and Young People until October 2023.
