This class will weave principles from the Alexander Technique and somatic practice as a basis for improvisation.  Alexander Technique promotes well-being by retraining one’s awareness and habits of posture to ensure minimum effort and strain.

The class will encourage freedom and availability in our whole selves as a basis for interaction and play. It will aim to heighten awareness of habitual choices in movement and perception and see if we can widen the field of creative possibilities in our improvisational play. All are welcome for exploring movement on your own and with others. No previous experience necessary.

Cancellations & refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidized by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
