Informed by Afro-Caribbean heritage and queer identity, this class will explore Nathaniel’s practices of electronic dance music cultures as mechanisms for ‘being with’ oneself, others and the world. You are invited to untangle and play with the questions of: What is funk? What is groove? What does it really mean to ‘get down’?…
This class will incorporate western somatic body-mind practices and the developmental frequencies of bass, with the rhythms of social dance forms and a broad range of music, explored through improvisational scores. Open to all to come and dance together.
Cancellations & refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidized by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
