Annie, a white woman of short stature with curly hair is dancing in a white room. Her expression is calm and her focus is towards the floor. She is wearing a black and white mesh long sleeve top.

In this landscape image we find Annie reaching up with her right hand, head back and left leg in front. She share the space with 3 other performers, one of which stands behind her hold a trestle table up vertically, their face hidden.

Annie’s class uses improvisation scores to empower and be present with our bodies in nonjudgmental and curious ways. Through pain informed practices, the class encourages going deeper into what our bodies can do, rather than further from. You can expect ideas around repetition, resting, and continuousness.

You will start with detailed, sensation-based tasks that introduce movement in gradual stages. Later, you will play with different spatial planes, spontaneity, and accepting whatever dance arises. You will end sharing collectively and jamming with your new found interests!

Annie’s class is rooted in accessibility and particularly encourages anyone who deals with varying capacities to come along.
