Monday Night Improvisation: Attila Andrási

Attila, a person stands on a paved path next to a large grassy sports field with several soccer goals in the distance. The person leans dramatically backward with their head tilted up toward the sky and their arms raised and bent, as if expressing strong emotion or reacting to something. They wear a colourful patterned shirt and black track pants with white side stripes. The sky is hazy and pale, and trees and power lines line the horizon in the background. A few small figures can be seen far away on the field. The overall scene feels quiet and slightly dramatic due to the person’s expressive pose and the wide-open space around them.

A close-up view of a man leaning toward the camera indoors. He is wearing a textured orange knit beanie and a white button-up shirt. He has dark hair, brown eyes, and a short beard and mustache. His head is tilted slightly downward, and he looks directly at the camera with a friendly, relaxed smile. The background is softly blurred but appears to be a large indoor space, possibly hall, with bright overhead lights and a few indistinct people in the distance.

The class draws on Feldenkrais functional integration, using playful variations of touch and gentle, rhythmic tapping patterns on the body while working in pairs and solo.

Participants will explore movement capacity through somatic agency by noticing how the constructed variations in tapping / touch rhythms provide a felt, textured landing in the body and a subtle opening within singular focus.

As a facilitator, Attila will guide observation that enable neurodivergent ways of perceiving: moving in singular focus, then supporting you to experience shifts in variation and flux, flicking between a dance of attention and expanding sensory capacity in relation to space, the body, and the more-than-human.
