Monday Night Improvisation: Julia Testas

Julia is a woman of Latin descent she is found crouching down in the left third of the image in a studio setting. She is reaching back to hold another persons' hand. She is smiling and wearing comfortable loose fit clothing.

Julia’s improvisation sessions are inspired by a combination of her own somatic research ‘dissolving’, and David Zambrano’s concept of ‘passing through’, a philosophy that suggests that movement needs no leader in creation.

Through guided improvisational exercises, participants will experience a holistic approach that emphasises both imaginative exploration and a deep connection to your biomechanics and physical space, allowing your intuition to guide your movement.

Connecting, sharing and collaborating – Julia’s session invites you to tap into your body’s intelligence and enhance your self-awareness as you navigate your own physical landscape, towards cultivating greater confidence and freedom in your movement.  The session encourages playful experimentation, as you discover new dimensions of your movement vocabulary and engage with others in a supportive environment.

Cancellations and refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
