This session is for anyone who would like to explore the creative potential of their body and voice and access their innate spontaneity. You will be invited to connect inwards to sensations, breath, feelings and imagination, and outwards to others through movement, vocal work and dynamic play. Through practicing simple improvisational exercises, working solo, with a partner and in groups, you will experience different ways to integrate voice and movement and develop your listening and collaborative skills. There will be opportunities to watch each as you improvise.
Kate’s classes are influenced by her movement-based theatre practice, including her extensive training in Action Theater™. She is known for her gentle and supportive teaching approach, which encourages an atmosphere of exploration and fun. This class is open to all, no previous movement or vocal experience is necessary.

Cancellations and refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
