EVERY BODY IS A POEM is a class that explores how the body carries memory, and how movement can be resilient, imaginative and liberating. The class moves fluidly between urban and contemporary vocabularies, drawing on grounded groove, floorwork, dynamics, textures and improvisation to access rhythm, power, resistance and release.

You will investigate how physical honesty and grounded presence give rise to poetic expression. Through guided improvisation, floorwork and phrase material, participants explore the spaces between rawness and release, instinct and intention, structure and surrender.

Participants are guided through structured tasks that emphasise efficiency, spirals, breath, musicality and connection to weight, while breaking habits and increasing awareness. Influenced by flying low, floorwork, release technique, house, African dances and Kalaripayyattu, the class aims to reconnect to instinct and playful embodied storytelling, finding honesty in movement and vulnerability in motion.
