Simonetta’s Monday night improvisation session, influenced by the Feldenkrais Method, will investigate how the movement of the eyes can influence the orientation, coordination and balance of the whole body. Both solo and with a partner, you will practice seeing and looking while maintaining ‘soft eyes’ and cultivating readiness. With vision and kinaesthetic information often working together, the session will focus attention in the area of our brain dedicated to processing visual information, enhancing our movement and overall self. Soft eyes & playful readiness.
By observing and navigating the confluence of inputs from physical duets and visual information, you will enjoy playing with orientation and disorientation, allowing surprising dances to emerge.
The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic discipline which uses experiential learning to achieve a psycho-physical awareness of the whole self. Directing attention to internal sensation through exploratory sequences of movement, you will question habits and clarify choices in order to promote efficiency, freedom and new possibilities in your physical organization.

Cancellations and refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
