Morning Class on Thursday and Friday this week will now be led by Alexandra Baybutt. Unfortunately we are not able to offer a class on Wednesday morning due to illness.
Alexandra’s class is informed by the Laban/Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS), presented through a playful approach to the various concepts it offers for perceiving and embodying movement. Fundamental concepts are explored, interwoven and layered to build awareness of self, other and environment. Developing skills of attunement and responsivity through process-oriented tasks, class opens awareness of breath, weight and flow as foundational to exploring personal space, and how use of space communicates with and to others. Alexandra leads a class that is rigorously thoughtful and attentive to togetherness in difference.
For safety, we would like to encourage everyone to take a Covid-19 lateral flow test before attending. The studio will also be well-ventilated even in colder weather – please bring extra layers for warmth. Siobhan Davies Studios current risk assessment and policy is available to read here.
