Monday class will be led by Sara Ruddock:
This class is a space for exploring, playing and moving with voice, vibration, rhythm and bodily listening, hanging out with sensations, flow, resistance and release. It’s an invitation for moving-sounding-listening with multidimensional relations, being with the individual and collective, exploring through your own experience, through improvisation, scores, questions, touch and play. The class is based on Sara’s current practice of vibrational bodily listening, singing and ‘choiring’, influenced by a range of artistic and somatic practices of sounding, moving and listening.
Tuesday – Friday classes will be led by Amarnah Amuludun:
During the week we will play with solo and group scores, improvising and exploring some of the ways voice and movement can work together. Solo explorations and group composition with space, sounds and words. Become the sound score or the storyteller of movement and dance in small and large groups. We will use games and tools from Passing Through to warm up our bodies, our voices and our confidence. Each class will include opportunities to share our work and practice improvisation in a performative setting among our fellow participants.
Cancellations & refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidized by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
