Rooted in rhythm, groove, musicality, and joy, Cathy’s classes are dynamic, fast-paced, and full of expansive movement, sweeping floor work, and contrasting dynamics. Together, we’ll explore pulse, pause, and play, while re-/discovering the joy of moving to a beat.
Using music from the ’90s, and ’00s that challenges, inspires, and energises, the class encourages you to respond to rhythm, texture and musical detail with confidence and expression.
The class will culminate in a collaborative space where dancers draw on Cathy’s phrasing ideas to create and dance together as a group. Inspired by rhythm, musicality and each dancer’s individual expression, we’ll build movement collectively and celebrate the energy of moving together.
Cathy will be joined by company dancers, who will support Cathy and participants throughout the class and help create a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere.

Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable.
If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
