Hanna Gillgren (she/her) is originally from Sweden and co-founded choreographer/ performer/curator duo H2DANCE with Heidi Rustgaard (NO), working between Norway, Sweden and the UK since 1999. Hanna’s morning classes will introduce H2DANCE’s current choreographic practice using their latest series, Amplified Edition methods and tasks.
Here, the choreographic material comes together, falls apart and becomes co-dependent, opening up new entanglements, relationalities and logics. The explorations will be improvisational and task-based, using movement, music and vocal sounds.
Each class will start gently by tuning into the body through breath and voice, leading onto exploratory exercises. We will continue moving and playing through set and improvisational material, working with choreographic tools, and exploring relationality.
Cancellations & refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidised by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep admin manageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
Hanna Gillgren (she/her) is originally from Sweden and co-founded choreographer/ performer/curator duo H2DANCE with Heidi Rustgaard (NO), working between Norway, Sweden and the UK since 1999.
Currently, they are busy with a series of works titled Amplified Edition. This series seeks to queer the relationship between the body, sound and space toward activating and re-centring choreographic material which is otherwise situated in the background or hidden from view.
In 2018, they co-founded Fest en Fest, which they continue to co-curate. Fest en Fest is an international festival of expanded choreography that presents choreographic works in different formats in London and the east of England. Fest en Fest thinks with choreography and its potential and seeks to rehearse new relations between artists, curators and audiences and choreograph alternative models for producing, touring, presenting and congregating.
