Kimberley’s classes are based in the world of contemporary dance with specific attention to release-based technique. She works with different qualities of movement often explored through imagery, articulations, initiations and drawing attention to weight and how it shifts.
These classes and are open to individuals who identify as disabled and non-disabled or anything in-between the two.
In these sessions, Kimberley Harvey will share elements from her relational artistic practice with Subtle Kraft Co as well as influences from an ever-evolving approach to facilitation. Subtle Kraft Co is an inclusive contemporary dance company Kimberley co-created with Anna Emilsson, which focusses on exploring our relationship to ourselves, each other, and the space, and different ways of dancing in relation to, which may or may not involve contact. The sessions will combine explorations and tasks and possibly some more ‘set’ material, but individual translation will be supported and encouraged throughout.
Kimberley aims to create a space that is responsive to individuals and the wider group. A space to explore your own physicality and possibilities for movement, as well as the opportunity to be together and dance with others in a variety of ways.
These classes will be aimed at those who have a desire to explore their own creativity alongside finding challenge, drive and the possibility for gentleness within their dancing.
Cancellations & refunds
Prices for classes are kept very low and are subsidized by ID in order to support artists to attend. To keep adminmanageable for our small team, we don’t offer refunds if you cancel or can’t attend a class, and we can’t transfer your booking to a different class/event. We hope this is understandable. If a class is cancelled or changed by ID however, we do offer refunds/transfers to everyone who has booked.
