Through rhythmic patterns, footwork and sound-making, you will delve into the experience of moving collectively and the relational states that arise between us as a result. Shivaangee’s practice is led by the felt experience of movement and rhythm rather than visual or virtuosic value.

The class will use improvisational scores, with a close attention paid to the experience of sounding out movement, and dancing to soundscapes created by movement. This practice arises from research on sound-making as an access point into liberatory and honest experiences with the body.

This class is not rooted in any specific style or technique of movement and participants are encouraged to bring their own movement vocabularies to this improvisational space.
