Cheniece Warner

Cheniece is our Digital Communications Assistant, supporting our marketing and our digital programme.

Chen is also a multidisciplinary artist with a background in movement and poetry they aim to create multimedia and multisensory experiences that invite viewers/participants to sit, observe and play! Their most recent works explore the idea of ‘Sinking’, a warm luxurious letting go and toning down of the outside world brought about by their lived experience with chronic illness and the need to find time to recoup. So far, they have used movement scores, zines, sound design and embroidery to explore this concept.

Outside of their practice, they are a Movement Documentary Photographer working with artists to capture the beautiful intimate moments within their creative processes and where possible they love to get into the studio (or under the trees) to move, write and be present with others. Most recently they worked and performed with Dr. Adesola Akinleye and DancingStrong Movement Lab for ‘Belonging to the Hop’ installation at the Hayward Gallery (2022) and then in ‘How Shall We Begin Again?’ a performance installation by Jo Fong for NEUROLIVE (2022).
