Our drop-in dance classes cover a wide range of contemporary, somatic and improvisation practices and are led by internationally renowned teaching artists.
Regular classes include daily Morning Classes for professional and experienced dancers and Monday Night Improvisation which is open to all; all classes are held in the large Roof Studio at Siobhan Davies Studios.
The autumn term comes to an end on 26 November and classes start up again on 17 January. The first half of Spring term will be open to booking on 5 January.
Class card: we offer a class card which costs £45 for 10 classes, a saving of £20 in all. Class cards are valid for one year from date of purchase.
ID’s classes enable a wide range of practices, ideas and approaches to be transmitted and developed through artistic exchange.
They are led by a pool of 80+ artists who see teaching as a key part of their practice and are renowned for their knowledge and facilitation skills. The overall programme offers a great place to meet and work with others and aims to generate a ‘community of practice’.
Daily morning classes are for experienced dancers while Monday Night Improvisation is open to everyone. Classes run 30 weeks a year, usually in the large Roof space at SDS, but also outdoors and online. You are welcome to dip in or treat a week as a series. Do also let us know if you would like to recommend teaching artists for the programme.
