On Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April we will be hosting Spring Gathering with ID. A weekend of moving, sharing, socialising and chatting. For ID, the impetus behind Spring Gathering is to find more moments when we can support communities of artists to be together. The feel of each day over the weekend is slightly different, allowing for different rhythms and energies. With Saturday’s energy and tone inviting fun and maybe silliness. Whilst Sunday invites you into a more chilled and relaxed vibe. What both days will prioritise is some soft and luxurious social time, either side of the sessions, where you can spend time with new and existing friends.
On Saturday we will begin with a session led by Annie Edwards, whose pain informed practice will lay the groundwork for discovery and spontaneity. Before the afternoon with Eleanor Sikorski and Lewys Holt, from Roadhouse, where a mix of rambling monologues and full-bodied dancing is to be encouraged and expected.
On Saturday there will be some opportunities to share whatever you are busy with right now, which will include very light feedback from those that choose to witness.
On Sunday we welcome Esme Rocha-Benjamin, with their invitation to move through improvisation and somatic noticing. And the day will close with SERAFINE1369 inviting us to listen to our sensory capacities for noticing and feeling ourselves and environment – always in relation.
The entire weekend includes lots of lingering time in the Parlour and outside, if the weather obliges. Bring snacks and we will bring some too! Everything about this weekend is relaxed, with an invitation to come and go as you choose or need. We really look forward to welcoming you.
